June Update

June was a quiet and cold month. We held one working bee that was meant to be just a mini-bee but had a big turnout which helped us deal with the compost bins again.

The brassicas in bed 1 had started to pick up growth and sweet potatoes (I think there are two tubers) are still growing wild.

Otherwise the slugs are still in heaven and have decimated the tiny pea sprouts we had. But at least the broad beans managed to reach a size that could withstand the attack and are growing taller every week.

And because their flowers look so nice, another Yacon picture.

We will soon start to look ahead to a new spring and summer season and welcome any ideas and suggestions for it.
