April Working Bee

Our April bee and Easter get-together was a huge success with a lot of regulars and a few new faces turning up to help out in the garden and the social event afterwards.

We cleaned up a lot of the garden (especially the Malabar spinach that is still growing vigorously), turned all the compost bins, updated the vertical garden with new planters and planted a batch of brassica seedlings and sowed more asian greens and coriander.

Tracy also managed to get our shed clean and organised so we can now finally find things in it and use the small space more effectively.

We also put down a row of pavers along the side of bed 2 to make it easier to go around while tending or watering without trampling the warrigal greens and other plants growing there.

After all the hard work we sampled homemade cakes, muffins, quiches and other yummy food - some of them featuring our own produce (painted corn, basil, warrigal greens, chili)

A big thank-you goes to Bee for organising the social event!
