How it all began

Around mid 2015 a group of residents got together and started lobbying the council to dedicate an unused area in the newly launched Reconciliation Park as community garden.

Nothing much happened till finally in June 2018 the council began construction of the garden beds and shed.

And the garden was officially ready on August 11th 2018.

The first working bee was held a week later on 18th August 2018 and a lot of plants and seeds went into the ground.

Two weeks later the very first crop started poking its head out!

Since then we've had a very successful first summer season with lots of greens, tomatoes, beans, eggplants, potatoes and herbs.
